visual pleasure

I am completely in love with everything Marian Bantjes creates. Her beautiful and complex work reminds me that ocd is just another tool in the design tool box. Feast your eyes on her stunning work, my favourite piece being the love letter to her dentist:

O beloved dentist
your rubber fingers in my mouth
your voice so soft and muffled
lower the mask
dear dentist
lower the mask

pretty much fluent

Venez-vous ici souvent?

Do you come here often?

dernier cri

the latest fashion; literally "latest scream"

diablerie

witchcraft, deviltry, or, more figuratively, "wickedness"

emience grise

"grey eminence" : a publicity-shy person with little formal power but great influence over those in authority

esprit de l'escalier

"wit of the stairs" : a concise, clever statement you don't think of until too late. e.g. on the stairs leaving the scene

zut alors!

"Damn it!" or the British expression "Blimey!", a general exclamation. Just plain zut is also in use — often repeated for effect, for example, zut, zut et zut!

decollete

a woman's garment with a low-cut neckline that exposes cleavage, or a situation in which a woman's chest or cleavage is exposed

Je crois toi

I trust You

Mmmm! Pretty illustrated music video...

H is for hula, valentine.

likes: hawaii, unicorns, hula girls, peanut buttercups in the freezer, clean sheets, yellow lighting.

dislikes: depth of field homework, sprinkles, tummy aches.

your a gem! Valentine.

Rough idea for sled island poster... jewels inside a rock! (last image) Its like a little city in there!

Also on the chopping block, animals with mixed up parts... that sentence sounds scarier that it is, basically I am taking animals and switching their heads through drawing or collage.

Pretty much because dioramas are my one of my favourite things I love the way the pictures turn out the weird perspective that comes from bubbling around the background. (see second image) Take a look at the American Natural History Museum's website, they have 360 views of their dioramas!

Also first image an early image of diorama exploration, its basically one of those table top hockey games with out the hockey and without a realistic idea of the food chain or ecological systems.

Shutter bug.

Learning how to take better pictures in photo class. Check out that depth of field... uh is that depth of field... its to early to tell. Also, developed an even deeper appreciation for photographers these people are like creative warriors who have to go out and deal with how strange people seem to act around a camera.
